Each piece is handmade in Tasmania by my husband and I in our countryside home studio in the beautiful Meander Valley.
This piece features my original design, created from a photograph I took in the Southern Midlands (Tasmania, Australia). I love spending time exploring the wild parts of my island home. I hope to capture some of that magic in my eco friendly jewellery design.
We mount the photographic designs behind domed glass. This results in a magnifying effect, which really makes the image 'pop'. The frame is made from custom designed bamboo, which we carefully sand by hand to produce a lovely smooth finish. The subtle patterns on the bamboo vary from piece to piece, making each one unique. Our bamboo is sustainably sourced and makes a stylish and renewable alternative to other timber.
The necklace cord is made from waxed cotton. I use sliding knots so that the length can be adjusted to suit individual tastes, moods and necklines.
The pinch bail is made from pre-made, solid recycled argentium silver. The bail is wide enough for most metal chains to be threaded through if desired.
♡ Care ♡
Regular cleaning with a silver cloth is recommend to maintain the beautiful shiny finish on the pinch bail.
The image behind the glass has been carefully sealed on the front and back. Pendants are splash resistant, however water may seep into through the sides if submerged while swimming or showering.
Included with every purchase is a beautiful recycled cardboard gift box. This contains a card which details the materials used to make the piece, the location where the photograph used in the design was taken and where the jewellery was made.
